According to this article by Gail Johnson on Yahoo! Canada Finance the top four things we’re willing to pay a premium for when buying a home are:
- Rapid Transit
- Shops, Services and Restaurants
- Kids’ Activities
- Schools
- Rapid Transit
- Shops, Services and Restaurants
- Kids’ Activities
- Schools
But why should these basic conveniences come at a higher price? Options believes that people from diverse backgrounds and incomes as low as 20,000 should have access to these amenities and has been creating communities based on that belief for 20 years!
Take our Danforth Village Estates community for example:
Rapid TransitDanforth Village Estates is a seven minute bus ride from Kennedy Station and a three minute bus ride to the Eglinton GO Station. Transit doesn’t get more rapid than that!!
Shops, Services and RestaurantsLocated near Scarborough Town Centre the area is also home to fabulous restaurants which you may have seen in our “Tastes of the Danforth Village Estates” video series. In case you missed it check it our here.
Kids’s Activities There are many activities for kids in the Danforth Village Estates area. Check out our recent blog post that outlines just a few of them here. Not to mention this new community will overlook a large, lush park that features walking trails, basketball courts and an outdoor swimming pool!
SchoolsThere are 52 Public schools, 11 Catholic schools and 78 day cares in the neighbourhood.
